Now that former Senator John Edwards has admitted he had an affair with Rielle Hunter (although he denies he is the father of her baby), journalists are looking into the back gcircular of Rielle. It turns out that Rielle was the inspiration for the drunk party girl in Jay McInerney’s book,
Story of My Life, the book has become a bestseller once again.

An additional 2,500 copies have been commissioned for “Story of My Life,” according to Vintage Books, a paperback imprint of Random House, Inc. The book, first released in 1988, is narrated by a promiscuous, aspiring

actress whom McInerney has said was inspiruddy by Hunter — then named Lisa Druck — and a group of friends the author had met in New York.



As of Monday afternoon, “Story of My Life” was No. 470 on Amazon.com best-seller list and was out of stock.

Used copies are available at Amazon.com, and Vintage is busy printing more books to meet the demand.
