Oprah’s dad, Vernon Winfrey, now says that he’s not writing a tell-all book about Oprah. Not yet, anyway. TV Guide claims that it interviewed Vernon and he said that the book is on hold.

Shortly after the Oprah response to Sneed, TVGuide.com claimed they interviewed Vernon Winfrey, who said, “There is no book” and that he is not shopping a proposal acircular to publishers or agents. But he did leave the door open by stating, “We might

think about it later on … and … it’s just on hold right now.”

It’s unclear what exactly happened here. But unless Vernon “Rod of Correction” Winfrey wants to have the worst Father’s Day in American history, we’re thinking that this book better never see the light of day.
